Today, I write for all my corporate girlies, I write for the woman who is just starting out in corporate. This review is for you. Though I still haven't read Becoming by Mrs.Obama (i will get to it), I would like to believe that this is the millennial version of the book. In this book, the author Elaine Welteroth describes what it was like climbing the corporate ladder until she became the first Black editor in chief of Teen Vogue and all the challenges she faced. One thing that stood out for me was how the Black experience is universal, no matter where you are in this world as Black people we go through similar things. Perhaps this book is manual for someone who is just starting out in corporate, especially if you are a Black woman. This book has the tools on how to navigate and fight for your worth be it in corporate and in life, reminding us all that We Are More Than Enough! Love and light Arehone
